Frequently asked questions about compression garments after surgery
Compression garments for liposuction are specially designed clothing worn after the procedure to reduce swelling, support the skin, and stabilize the results. They help shape the body during the healing phase and promote a smooth adaptation of the skin to the new silhouette.
After a BBL (Bottom Body Slimming), a faja (a type of bodysuit) with a special cut is ideal, offering ample room for the hips and buttocks while simultaneously compressing the abdomen, waist, and back. A high-coverage design is particularly important, as it shapes without flattening the buttocks and optimally supports the post-BBL healing phase.
A Stage 2 faja is typically worn after the initial healing phase, usually a few weeks after liposuction or a BBL. It offers stronger compression than a Stage 1 faja and supports further shaping of the waist, abdomen, and back during the advanced healing phase.
High-coverage compression garments are beneficial after surgery because they provide even support to larger areas of the body, such as the abdomen, waist, back, and hips. This helps to better control swelling, reduce dimpling, and promote harmonious results after liposuction or BBL (Body Body Liposuction).
The healing phase after liposuction is best supported by medically developed compression garments. These include fajas, lipo foam, and lipo boards, which help minimize swelling, smooth the skin, and stabilize the desired body result in the long term.
